Italian soccer is becoming more and more stars and stripes. Monza has been officially purchased by Beckett Layne Ventures , an American fund that immediately acquired 80% of the club's shares from the Berlusconi family and will complete its takeover of the club in 2026. Beckett Layne Ventures was founded by Brandon Berger and managing partner Lauren Crampsie . The two managers have experience in the world of football with the restructuring of the commercial department of Chelsea. However, the investment fund does not only deal with sports but also financed projects in the entertainment and media sector for over 10 billion dollars. The operation is seen by Beckett Layne Ventures as a development opportunity in one of the most strategic areas of the country from the commercial side.

Monza is just the latest Italian club to pass into American hands. Spezia, Atalanta, Fiorentina, Inter, Milan, Parma, Roma, Venezia, Verona and Cesena also have American owners.
