Wimbledon draw: Bublik or Berrettini for Sinner in third round

Wimbledon draw: Bublik or Berrettini for Sinner in third round

Just a few more hours of waiting and then the Wimbledon draws will be known. The draw will take place on Friday at 11:00 Italian time (10:00 local time) and, like in Paris, it will see Sinner no. 1 and Alcaraz no. 2 with the prospect of them facing each other again in the final. The Spaniard is the defending champion and therefore, as per tradition, will open the opening day on Centre Court on Monday. Consequently, Sinner, who will be on the other side of the draw, will make his debut on Tuesday 1 July. There is no live TV broadcast of the draw, but only the audio via streaming on Radio Wimbledon, which can be listened to on the tournament's official website.

Waiting for Zeppieri, Italy starts with 12 representatives

In addition to Sinner, Italy will have 4 representatives among the top seeds: Musetti, no. 7, Cobolli, no. 22, Berrettini, no. 32 and Jasmine Paolini, no. 4 in the women's tournament. In total, there will be 12 Italians at the starting line: 9 men and 3 women. The 4 top seeds will be joined by Matteo Arnaldi, Lorenzo Sonego, Luciano Darderi, Mattia Bellucci, Luca Nardi and Fabio Fognini in the men's field and Elisabetta Cocciaretto and Lucia Bronzetti in the women's field. They could be joined by Giulio Zeppieri who reached the last round of qualifications.

Who can face Sinner

Sinner will not face any seeds before the third round where he will draw one between the 25th and 32nd, that is Auger-Aliassime, Davidovich Fokina, Shapovalov, Bublik, Nakashima, Michelsen, Griekspoor or Berrettini. In the fourth round he would find one between the 13th and 16th (that is Paul, Rublev, Mensik or Cerundolo) then in the quarterfinals one between the 5th and 8th (Fritz, Djokovic, Musetti or Rune) and in the semifinals one between Zverev and Draper.

Musetti, comparison with the first 4 only from the quarter-finals

The same goes for Musetti, who would also only find a seed between 25 and 32 (Auger-Aliassime, Davidovich Fokina, Shapovalov, Bublik, Nakashima, Michelsen, Griekspoor or Berrettini) in the third round. In the fourth round, he would be paired with a seed between 9 and 12 (Medvedev, Shelton, De Minaur and Tiafoe), and from the quarterfinals onwards he would face the top 4 seeds.

Paolini, Swiatek or Andreeva at risk in the quarterfinals

Paolini among the women would also find the first seed only in the third round: it would be one between the 25th and 32nd, that is, Frech, Kostyuk, Linette, Kenin, Fernandez, Noskova, Krueger or Kessler. In the fourth round she will be paired with one between the 13th and 16th, that is, Anisimova, Svitolina, Muchova or Kasatkina. In the quarterfinals she could face one between the 5th and 8th, that is, Zheng, Keys, Andreeva or Swiatek, in the semifinals the 1st or 2nd, that is, Sabalenka or Gauff.
