Prato, 26 June 2025 - A season to remember. The year just ended was one to remember for the 2012 Viaccia Esordienti group, coached by coaches Marco Margheri and Franco Aiello . After excellent performances in the championship, the end of the season was a crescendo of satisfactions. Five out of five trophies won by the youth team of the club led by president Gianni Esposito and vice Gabriele Guasti . Tournaments of provincial, regional and national importance. But let's go in order. We start with the success in the Terre di Romagna tournament. On the Riviera, the rossoblù dominated the event, scoring 21 goals in five games and only conceding six. Large-scale successes that were followed by a very tight final against Casentino Academy. The match ended in a 1-1 draw and was decided on penalties with Prato prevailing.
We then continue with the Olmi tournament where the Margheri and Aiello team won in the final 3-0 over Am Aglianese. A success that the club and the boys dedicated "to all our parents who always follow and support us". The third tournament won was the Iolo one, the Memorial Coveri, where in the final there was a success against the home team. An event dedicated to the memory of a historic manager of Prato football, with the final won 2-0 by Viaccia. Another notable tournament won by the rossoblù was the Conti di Galciana, now in its 28th edition. Here the final was won with the result of 3-1 against Montemurlo Jolly. Finally the home tournament. Here it was a rossoblù triumph, given that in the final at the Ribelli there was a family challenge between Viaccia Blu and the Rosso, with the latter winning 4-1. And then everyone celebrated with a family dinner.
“First of all, we want to congratulate the boys who are on an exciting growth path,” explains the president of Viaccia Calcio, Gianni Esposito. “And then we want to give a heartfelt thank you to the families for the enthusiasm that has always characterized them throughout the season. This is a team that we are banking on a lot, that has grown and that next year will have the ambition to do very well at the provincial level. A team that we are banking on to return to the regionals in the near future.” “As a club, we continue to focus on young people also with a view to being a breeding ground for the first team,” adds vice president Gabriele Guasti. “We are investing a lot in the youth sector, in the preparation of the coaches and now we are also supported by the new latest-generation synthetic pitch, which represents a real added value for Viaccia.”
