Bridget Fonda photographed for the first time with Danny Elfman following harassment and defamation allegations
Born in 1964 in Los Angeles, Bridget Fonda belongs to one of Hollywood's most iconic acting dynasties. She is the daughter of Peter Fonda, the niece of Jane Fonda, and, of course, the granddaughter of Henry Fonda.
With this family history, it's no surprise that she made her on-screen debut at just five years old. It was in Easy Rider (1969), and although she grew up surrounded by television cameras and theater curtains, her fame skyrocketed in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Thanks to titles like The Godfather Part III, The Assassin , and Jackie Brown (a role that, according to some, Quentin Tarantino offered her during a flight), Fonda established herself as one of the most outstanding actresses of the decade, receiving nominations at the Emmys and the Golden Globes.
The turning point in her life came in 2003. That year, the actress suffered a car accident that caused a fractured spine. She also announced her engagement and soon after married composer Danny Elfman , famous for his collaborations with Tim Burton. In 2005, the couple's son, Oliver, was born, and Fonda announced her final retirement from acting to focus on her private and family life.
Since leaving acting, Fonda has kept a very low profile, staying away not only from the cameras but also from the public eye. In 2023, the New York Post quoted her as saying when asked about a possible return to film:
It's too nice to be "just" a civilian.
This same month of May, however, the actress was photographed in the company of her husband, for the first time in sixteen years .
Elfman is currently in the midst of a lawsuit dating back to 2016, when composer Nomi Abadi filed a sexual harassment and assault lawsuit against him , resulting in a settlement of over $800,000. In 2023, however, she filed another lawsuit against him for failing to make payments on that settlement, and Elfman subsequently lashed out at her in a Rolling Stone interview , which resulted in another defamation lawsuit from Abadi , which is still ongoing with no trial date set.
The fact that Fonda has now appeared with her husband enjoying a trip is a sign that the actress has remained, at least apparently, by Elfman's side throughout this time.
The couple currently resides in Los Angeles, where they manage to maintain a quiet and discreet private life.
