Police officer injured in rollover accident on Saltillo-Monclova highway

The weapons were lost in the accident, generating a mobilization to find them.
An auxiliary police officer, belonging to the Federal Protection , was seriously injured after running off the road and overturning at kilometer 17 of the Saltillo–Monclova highway.
He was identified as Iván Sosa, approximately 30 years old , and was rescued by Ramos Arizpe Fire and Civil Protection personnel. He was rushed to a private clinic. He was driving a Dodge RAM pickup truck with the number SPF97A7.
Apparently, it was coming from the Federal Social Readaptation Center (Cefereso) number 18, heading for Saltillo. Upon reaching kilometer 17 of the Santa Cruz–Ojo Caliente section, it went off the road. It ended up in a ravine , where it rolled over until the patrol car came to rest on its right side, completely destroyed.

The sole occupant was trapped inside the patrol car and was treated by paramedics, who managed to free him. He had respiratory problems and was rushed to a private clinic. The report mobilized security guards and National Guard (GN) officers, who reported that the service weapons, a rifle and a pistol, were not found.
A police operation was carried out on foot. At press time, there were no results regarding the discovery of the weapons. The area was cordoned off so that personnel from Forensic Services, attached to the Attorney General's Office (FGR), could conduct a land transit appraisal.
