Martí Batres Guadarrama, general director of the Institute of Social Security and Services for State Workers (ISSSTE), supervised the services provided at the Hospital Clinic (CH) in the municipality of Gómez Palacio and at the Family Medicine Clinic (CMF) in the city of Lerdo to 211,000 beneficiaries assigned to these medical units in the north of the country.
The federal official, He shared with the medical and administrative staff of both clinics that good treatment of the members is essential. He therefore instructed the installation of a Member Support Module in these units. He was accompanied by the directors of the ISSSTE Representative Offices and Administration and Finance, Omar Buitrón Fosado and Rodrigo Ávila Carrasco, respectively.
"We need a highly visible and personal Dignified Treatment Module at the entrance so people can locate it and it's their first point of contact—not the police, but the Module, the staff who then serve people; and humanization workshops can be held with doctors, nurses, social workers, police officers, and counter staff, who are the ones who have the most contact with the beneficiaries," he indicated.
The ISSSTE general director visited the CH's 14 consulting rooms, two operating rooms, boilers, and somatometry department, while at the CMF, he toured the Preventive Medicine, pharmacy, X-ray, and ultrasound areas to verify their operation and needs.
The ISSSTE announced that the Hospital Clinic serves a total of 120,000 beneficiaries from the municipalities of Gómez Palacio and Lerdo. , and operates with a staff of 396 people; it offers 18 specialties, including surgery, preventive medicine, gynecology, pediatric allergology, urology, and orthopedics.
The Family Medicine Clinic stands out for providing care to a total of 91,000 beneficiaries in Durango. It has a staff of 108, including physicians, nurses, and administrative staff, who provide general consultations, dental care, nutrition, gerontology, family planning, vaccinations, a smoking cessation clinic, and a sexuality clinic.
The supervisory visit was attended by Rocío del Pilar Villarauz Martínez, Strategic Director of Information, Supervision, and Evaluation of the ISSSTE; Juan Gerardo López Hernández, Director of Economic, Social, and Cultural Benefits; Ricardo Ruiz Suárez, Technical Secretary of the Oversight Commission; Víctor Hugo Bautista Hernández, Deputy Director of Prevention and Health Protection of the Institute; Mario Joaquín Zepeda y Martínez, Director of Incorporation, Collection, and Investment; and Víctor Manuel Torres Olivares, Director of the Board of Directors.
Batres Guadarrama's visit to ISSSTE clinics in La Laguna coincided with Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo's visit to Torreón to inaugurate the Regional High Specialty Hospital (HRAE).
It was reported that Batres also attended an event to present permanent credentials to retirees and pensioners, as well as settlement certificates to Fovissste borrowers. These benefits include discounts, interest reductions, and forgiveness, implemented following the Housing decree issued by Sheinbaum Pardo.
