The Ventanón Trail is a simple route that leads to this incredible place. It's just over 11 kilometers long, a circular walk that can be completed in about 3-4 hours. The entire trail is marked with markers and has a 280-meter gradient .

The route begins at the Alto de la Concha parking lot , located an hour and a half from Burgos. You can leave your car there and begin the hike. The first section is along a hillside covered in holm oaks . This is just the beginning until you reach the Ventanón natural bridge.
The first section follows a small path through the greenery typical of the Sotoscueva Valley. After a short walk, you reach this monument, which consists of a stone arch about 30 meters wide and up to 20 meters high . It was formed by an ancient water conduit because the limestone dissolved over time, giving it this unusual shape.
Today, through this unusual arch, you can see the Somo Mountains and some towns near Merindad de Valdeporres . After enjoying these views, the descent begins. To do so, turn right at the first marker and left at the second until you reach Villamartín de Sotoscueva .
