The tense moment when a passenger plane narrowly avoids colliding with another

A Boeing 737-800 of the American airline Southwest narrowly avoided a collision on the runway with a private jet at an airport in Chicago (Illinois) on Tuesday, as seen in a video that is being shared on social media.
The images show Southwest Flight 2504 , which was flying from Omaha, Nebraska, to Midway Airport in Chicago, preparing to land and then resuming its approach - known as a missed approach maneuver - seconds before touching down to avoid colliding with a private jet that was taxiing crosswise on the runway a few meters ahead.
Representatives of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) cited by ABC indicated that the private jet did not correctly follow the instructions of air traffic control , which had instructed the aircraft not to cross the runway until after the Boeing landed.
The FAA also said that at their closest approach, the two aircraft were within 800 metres of each other . The Boeing eventually landed safely after another approach manoeuvre at 9:02 a.m. local time (3:02 p.m. GMT), just a few minutes before its scheduled arrival.
