Despite insecurity, Sinaloa leads the nation in economic growth

Despite the insecurity that has plagued Sinaloa, the state recorded the highest economic growth in the country during the first quarter of 2025.
The increase was 7.0% compared to the previous quarter, reported the Ministry of Economy, based on the Quarterly Indicator of State Economic Activity (ITAEE) published by INEGI.
READ: IMF improves economic forecast for MexicoThis result positions Sinaloa as the national leader in economic dynamism, ahead of states such as Nayarit, which grew 3.3%, and Guerrero, with an increase of 2.4%. The figures, adjusted for seasonality, reflect an economy in motion.
In its annual comparison, The Sinaloa economy also reported 2.0% growth compared to the same period in 2024, remaining in positive territory and with a sustained trend.
The ITAEE measures the evolution of economic activity in the federal entities quarterly , integrating various productive activities that reflect the dynamics of each region.
