How much does it cost to celebrate Father's Day in Mexico?

This Saturday, June 14th, Father's Day is celebrated in Mexico and around the world. During this day, people typically give gifts considered purely masculine as a way of celebrating, although some choose to go out and treat their loved ones to a trip to the movies or a meal at a restaurant. Regardless, as with other celebrations, Father's Day is often associated with spending money.
In that sense, it's expected that by 2025, giving gifts on Father's Day will be up to 18% more expensive than last year . This is slightly higher than the current general inflation rate, which, according to the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), is around 4.42 percent .
This is explained by the fact that some of the main gifts have seen individual economic increases far greater than general inflation. The items considered include clothing, perfumes, beverages, chocolates or snacks, footwear, tools, and electronics.
Likewise, food consumption and preparation has also shown a significant increase.
