Trains between Madrid and Andalusia have not yet been reestablished.

Trains between Madrid and Andalusia have not yet been reestablished.

Rail traffic problems on the high-speed lines between Madrid and Andalusia continued early Tuesday morning, following Adif's report of an incident with the overhead lines at around 8:30 p.m. on Monday.

"Trains from Madrid Puerta de Atocha-Almudena Grandes heading south will not run until at least 8:45 a.m. Trains heading south to Madrid may also experience delays," Adif reported on its X account.

Train service was halted this Monday just after 8:30 p.m. due to a power outage caused by a catenary failure. Power was not restored until shortly before 10:00 p.m. , although it was not until after midnight that the multitude of stopped trains carrying thousands of passengers began to run alternately on a single track between Los Yeles and Mora to their destinations.

In this regard, Adif requested that Castilla-La Mancha's 112 emergency services mobilize civil protection resources to provide supplies to passengers affected by the electrification incident affecting trains running between Madrid and Seville.

Adif has detailed that it is working on the affected overhead line with the aim of restoring service this Tuesday, July 1, also on the second track between Los Yeles and Mora.
