According to FISEL, citizen complaints, those sent to it by the INE and state prosecutors' offices, are already being investigated by ministerial personnel specializing in electoral crimes.
“Likewise, through the FISETEL Customer Service System (800 833 7233), 2,443 calls were received with citizen requests, of which 2,329 were for guidance, 86 were channeled to local prosecutors' offices, and 28 were referred to the FISEL One-Stop Shop for attention,” he explained.
Proceso reported on May 28 that one of the investigations FISEL is currently conducting is the distribution of "accordions" that tell people how to vote for candidates aligned with the 4T party.
The agency added that this Sunday, specialized public prosecutors were deployed throughout the country to address complaints of electoral crimes such as vote buying or coercion, improper interference in the installation or closure of polling stations, and the seizure or destruction of electoral materials.
"The Electoral Prosecutor's Office will investigate all reported incidents for possible federal electoral crimes and will report on them in a timely manner," he stated.
