Superior Court of Justice Judges: Quintana Roo already has results

On Tuesday, June 3, the electoral institutes of Quintana Roo (IEQROO) and Yucatán (IEPAC) completed the vote-taking process for the ballots for the election of the Superior Court of Justice judges in each state.
In Quintana Roo, the process began at midnight on Tuesday. The day was supervised by electoral and judicial authorities, who emphasized the importance of this democratic exercise to guarantee the legitimacy and independence of the judiciary.
It was on Tuesday afternoon when the results were recorded for the Superior Court of Justice judges, paving the way for the start of the counting of ballots for the Judicial Disciplinary Tribunal judgeships.
With these results, the profiles for the Superior Court of Justice in Quintana Roo have been defined. They will assume the responsibility of administering justice and safeguarding human rights in their respective states.
In both states, the selected judges have diverse backgrounds, but also a notable presence in public administration and politics. Many of the new judges have held key positions as legal counselors, directors of departments, public defenders, and advisors to governors or state legislatures.
While the recurrence of certain names within government structures suggests a pattern of political turnover that could compromise impartiality and neutrality in judicial decision-making.
