Use of electoral wafer confirmed in Supreme Court justice election

The first official results of the vote count for the election of justices to the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN) have confirmed that the names that appeared on the controversial edible accordions distributed during the June 1 election in Cancún are precisely those who won the contested positions.
Following the closing of the vote count and the capture of results by the National Electoral Institute (INE) on Tuesday, June 3, the names printed on this edible sheet exactly match the profiles of those who will now occupy the positions of ministers of the SCJN.
This revelation not only confirms the effectiveness of a mechanism of coercion and vote mobilization, but also exposes electoral manipulation that today represents the new face of federal justice.
It's worth remembering that last Sunday, witnesses in Cancún reported how some voters received the so-called "electoral wafer," an edible sheet measuring approximately 15 by 7 centimeters that included the exact numbers of the candidates to be marked on the ballot.
In exchange, they offered food supplies or cash payments of up to 500 pesos. The instructions were clear: mark the ballot as indicated on the sticker, take a photograph of it along with the voter ID, and finally, eat the sheet to eliminate any evidence.
The vote count will continue in the coming days to determine the members of the Judicial Disciplinary Tribunal, the Superior Chamber, and the Regional Chambers of the Electoral Tribunal of the Federal Judicial Branch (TEPJF), as well as the Circuit Magistrates and District Judges.
All of these names also appeared on the edible accordion, fueling expectations that the results will ultimately confirm vote buying and the powerful operation of this clandestine mechanism.
