Antonio Rüdiger and David Alaba out for the entire season with Real Madrid

Real Madrid is facing a significant defensive crisis after injuries to two of its key defenders, Antonio Rüdiger and David Alaba , were confirmed, along with a disciplinary sanction affecting the former.
RÜDIGER AND ALABA OUT DUE TO INJURY
Antonio Rüdiger has undergone successful surgery for a partial tear of the external meniscus in his left leg.
The club estimates a six-to-eight-week outing, which rules him out for the remainder of the season and casts doubt on his participation in the upcoming Club World Cup .

For his part, David Alaba suffers a tear of the internal meniscus in his left knee, the same one in which he tore his cruciate ligament in 2023 .
This new injury requires surgery and will keep him off the pitch for six to eight weeks, jeopardizing his participation in the Club World Cup .
RÜDIGER WAS ALSO SANCTIONED FOR SIX GAME EXPULSION
In addition to his injury, Antonio Rüdiger has been banned for six matches by the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) after being sent off in the Copa del Rey final for throwing an object and displaying aggressive behavior toward the referee.
The sanction is based on Article 101 of the RFEF Disciplinary Code , which provides for penalties of between four and twelve matches for minor violent conduct towards referees.
REAL MADRID IS LEFT WITHOUT DEFENDERS
These absences leave Carlo Ancelotti with only two pure first-team defenders, Fran García and Asencio , supported by converted players such as Lucas Vázquez and Tchouaméni .
The club's infirmary is congested with Dani Carvajal, Eder Militao, Rüdiger, Ferland Mendy, and Alaba sidelined, seriously compromising the final stretch of the season.
