Thus, rumors of Franco Colapinto's return to the category are growing stronger, amid tensions between the Alpine team and Jack Doohan, whose performance at the start of 2025 was lacking .

If confirmed, the Pilar-born rider's return to the top category would take place on the weekend of May 18th, at the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix. This is the date after the Miami Grand Prix, where the youngster will not be in the pits.
