Eight supporters of Nacional de Montevideo were arrested in the classic between Chicago and Chacarita: who are they and what were the Uruguayan fans doing in Argentina?

The Nacional fans from Montevideo, who had managed to escape from the police after causing incidents during the derby between San Lorenzo and Huracán in Parque Patricios, were finally arrested in Mataderos. What were the Uruguayans infiltrating Argentine football doing?
Eight members of Bolso's fans were arrested during Torito's draw against Chacarita, in the third round of the Primera Nacional. These Uruguayan fans had been involved in the disturbances during the classic at the Tomás Adolfo Ducó.
Relations between football club hooligans go beyond borders. They often welcome their counterparts from neighbouring countries in an exchange of favours, with the aim of securing privileged treatment when they visit other stadiums to watch their teams, and even, on occasion, access to free tickets.
A clear example of this dynamic was the joint presence of the supporters of Nacional de Uruguay and a faction of Huracán, who appeared united before the classic against San Lorenzo, a match that Globo won 2-0.
According to the recordings and live broadcast of the match, two groups clashed with each other and threw projectiles. Among them were the Nacional supporters, who also participated in the incidents.
Police footage shows fans of the Uruguayan club in the middle of a confrontation inside the stands, exchanging blows with other supporters. However, they were able to escape from the police.
They were not so lucky in Mataderos. Minutes before the start of the match between Torito and Chacarita, the police identified the fans of the Uruguayan club and notified the Sports Security Secretariat of the City, which acted with the prosecutor's office to carry out the operation. Finally, eight hooligans were arrested, pending the court's decision.
The incidents in the Huracán popular stadium during the classic against San Lorenzo resulted in 29 people being detained by the police, which were acknowledged by the Chambers.
The Football Security Committee, which is part of the City Ministry of Security, decided to impose an exemplary sanction: those involved will not be allowed to enter any stadium for the next four years.
One of those delayed by the scuffles prior to the local derby was "Chila", a member of José C. Paz, who in 2018 was deported from Russia when the World Cup was being played.
The incident was reported to the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Mass Events, headed by Dr. Maximiliano Vence, who finally ordered the initiation of misdemeanor charges against him for "inciting disorder and fighting."
Waldo Wolff, the city’s security minister, posted on X about the arrest and punishment of these fans: “ The violent ones are out . Before the start of the match between Huracán and San Lorenzo, two factions of violent people fought. They are all at the disposal of the Justice, and during the week an exemplary executive sanction will be issued by the Ministry of Security of the City so that they remain outside the stadiums for years. In the City it is with the families on the field . It is with order,” concluded the Minister.
