Jannik Sinner explains the formula for his success... with a barb at Carlos Alcaraz?: "Hard work always trumps talent."

Jannik Sinner has become one of the biggest names in the sport after his flawless victory in the Wimbledon final againstCarlos Alcaraz . The world number one, after the setback of his defeat to the Murcian at Roland-Garros, has gotten back on track in style . After winning the title at the All England Club Tennis in London, he spoke about his confrontation with the Spaniard , hard work and the idea of never giving up in the face of any kind of adversity.
The San Candido native explained his preparation philosophy for the season and stated that "hard work always beats talent," leaving a possible dig at Carlos Alcaraz: "I always say that hard work beats talent. I always go out on the court with a goal. That mentality starts to build on the training ground, when you're struggling and in pain. There are times when you don't feel like training, but you do everything possible to make sure it's a good day. If you don't do it, you can't do it later in a game."
In turn, the Italian, in an interview with CNBC , explained the importance of having "pressure" in every match: " I really like pressure. From my point of view, if you don't have it, it means you don't care about what you do. I feel privileged to be in the position I am. There's a lot of pressure and sometimes even a target on my back."
Finally, Sinner has experienced both sides of the sport in recent days, with his defeat in Paris and his triumph in London , and believes that the word failure does not exist in his vocabulary: " I don't think there is such a thing as failure in our sport if you give 100% and do your best. You have good days and bad days, and I'm lucky to have experienced both. If you don't experience the bad days, you don't appreciate the good ones. I've been through some tough times. This trophy was a dream, and now it's come true. It's definitely among my greatest achievements."
