Kily González left Platense, and the number of coaches in the Clausura Tournament has reached a dozen.

Cristian González joined the long list of coaches who have left their positions so far in the Clausura Tournament. El Kily left Platense after reaching an agreement with the management following last Friday's 3-0 defeat to Independiente in Avellaneda, in the postponed match of Matchday 6.
It's a mere shadow of the team that made history in Argentine football just a few months ago. From winning the Apertura, beating major clubs in its wake with the Orsi-Gómez duo, to now finding itself just outside the playoff spot in Group B.
Not even the carrot of playing in next year's Copa Libertadores could sustain González in his position. He officiated 14 matches, with only two wins, six draws, and six losses. He also missed out on the Copa Argentina in the round of 16 against Independiente Rivadavia of Mendoza.
The club's management had already been warning that things weren't improving and that Kily's attempts to improve weren't having any effect on the team. Therefore, after the latest tough defeat, González didn't speak at a press conference, but he did meet with the club's top management to discuss his departure. This Monday morning, he will bid farewell to his players.

Over the last two weeks, the departures have intensified. Last weekend, Cristian Fabbiani was dismissed from Newell's after the loss to Argentinos Juniors, and Walter Ribonetto was dismissed from Godoy Cruz after a loss to Lanús, both of whom are flirting with the bottom of the standings.
Meanwhile, Lucas Pusineri was dismissed from Atlético Tucumán after a 2-1 loss to San Lorenzo. Gimnasia La Plata announced the departure of Alejandro Orfila the previous matchday.
The outlook is even more dramatic when looking at the year-to-date picture. A club has now lost its manager 28 times, either through resignation or dismissal. Among them is the peculiar case of Miguel Angel Russo, who died while in charge of Boca Juniors.
