The Saraperos de Saltillo could not avoid a sweep in their visit to León after falling 13-5 in the third and final game of the series against the Bravos , played this Thursday at Domingo Santana Stadium , this time the defeat fell on pitcher Braulio Torres-Pérez . Despite having taken an early lead, the home offense responded strongly in the middle innings, capitalizing on defensive errors and producing runs at key moments.

Saltillo opened the scoring in the first inning with an RBI single by Alex Mejía and a defensive error that allowed two more runs, leaving the score 4-0. However, León responded immediately. In the bottom of the first inning, Jimmy Kerrigan drove in two runs with a single to center field, and in the fourth inning, Phillip Evans hit a two-run home run to tie the game.

Saraperos briefly regained the lead in the top of the sixth inning with a sacrifice fly by Alex Mejía, making it 5-4. However, the Braves responded immediately with a four-run rally in the bottom of the inning. Danny Ortiz drove in one with a single, and Sandber Pimentel added another. Jermaine Palacios also drove in a run, making the score 8-5.

In the seventh, León extended its lead. Michael Robles and Angelo Castellano led a five-run rally that defined the game. Robles drove in two runs with a single, and Castellano drove in two more with a double to left field, sealing the score at 13-5.

With this defeat, Saraperos closes the series with a 22-26 record and now focuses on their next commitment as a visitor, when they face the Guerreros de Oaxaca starting on Friday, June 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Eduardo Vasconcelos Stadium .

The series against the Bravos temporarily left the Nave Verde out of the qualifying zone, so the team will have to get back on track to remain competitive in the tight race for the northern standings.
