Sultanes stop Saraperos and everything will be decided in the third game of the Northern Classic.

After the resounding victory achieved by Saraperos de Saltillo in the first game of the series, the team returned this Tuesday to the Palacio Sultán to face the Sultanes de Monterrey , in a duel that ended in a tie in the Clásico del Norte after a close day that left the final score 3-1 in favor of the locals.
The night began with Stephen Tarpley as the Sultanes ' starting pitcher, while Missael Rivera , the Nave Verde's batting leader, led the Saltillo offense, although without replicating the home run of the previous game. In the top of the first inning, José Peraza was the only Saraperos player who managed to reach base. In the closing inning, Manny Barreda started on the mound for Saltillo and managed to avoid damage in his first inning.
During the second and third innings, both offenses were silenced without much opportunity. It wasn't until the fourth inning that the Sultanes broke the deadlock with a single by Christopher Escárrega , which allowed Asael Sánchez , who had previously been on base, to score a run.

Saraperos responded in the top of the fifth inning with Jhonny Santos reaching first base. After a base hit by Alex Mejía , Santos advanced to third and scored on a sacrifice fly by Fernando Villegas , tying the score at 1-1. Minutes later, Tarpley hit Rusber Estrada , which gave up a base on a hit, although with no additional consequences for the score at that time.
The bottom of the same inning was key for the home team. Tito Valenzuela , on base after a walk from Barreda , was driven in by a deep hit by Zoilo Almonte to make it 2-1. Later, Ramiro Peña connected with another hit that drove Almonte to the plate, making the score 3-1.
Barreda left the mound in the sixth inning, replaced by Yasin "Yaya" Chentouf, who effectively controlled the Monterrey offense. However, Saraperos failed to recover in the remaining innings, despite strategic adjustments and the Sultanes' failure to extend their lead.
With this result, the series between Sultanes and Saraperos is tied 1-1, and the decisive game will be played this Wednesday, April 30 at 7:30 pm at the same venue.
