With a hat trick from Chiwendu Ihezuo, Pachuca eliminates Rayadas and advances to the Final

Pachuca is going for its first Liga MX Femenil title ! On Monday night, the Hidalgo team came from behind to score a goal and impress in the duel against Rayadas, corresponding to the Second Leg Semifinal played at the Hidalgo Stadium. With a resounding 4-1 result, the team led by Óscar Torres eliminated the two-time champions and secured their spot in the Grand Final of the tournament , after beating the Monterrey team 4-2 on aggregate.

Pachuca arrived with the mission of overturning the 0-1 defeat Monterrey had inflicted on them in the first leg at the Sultana. Although the task was far from easy, thanks to Chinwendu Ihezuo , who scored a hat trick, the Tuzas advanced to their fourth Final in their history within the Pink Circuit and will fight for their first championship against América.

The Monterrey team got off to a rather explosive start. Within the first 20 minutes of the match, Rayadas dominated the game and capitalized on their momentum with a goal from Christina Burkenroad in the 19th minute. It looked like Monterrey would easily secure a spot in the Final, but after the goal, Pachuca came alive.

Urged to prevent their opponents from going further ahead on the scoreboard and aware that a draw on aggregate would give them a ticket to the championship match, the Tuzas pushed their lines forward to begin attacking, and their gamble served to enable Chinwendu Ihezuo and Kenti Robles to turn things around in the 31st and 44th minutes, respectively.

Rayadas manager Amelia Valverde simply didn't know what to do once she found herself overwhelmed on and off the field. Monterrey was left without any capacity to respond , and although changes were made in an attempt to generate a more aggressive response, they were unable to successfully return to Esthefanny Barreras's team.

For their part, the home side took advantage of the opportunity to fill the basket to secure a solid victory . With the team in the lead, Chiwendu added two more goals in the 62nd and 69th minutes to seal the victory and advance to the final two matches of the season.

It's worth noting that, after two years, the duel between América and Pachuca will be repeated in the title race . In the 2023 Clausura, they faced off to determine the champion, and the Águilas emerged victorious, so the Hidalgo team will arrive eager for revenge.
