Have the spending habits of people interested in tour packages in Colombia changed?

María Fernanda Quiñones, executive director of the CCCE, emphasized in an interview with Portafolio that consumption of these types of products has migrated to digital channels.

“More and more Colombians prefer to plan and purchase their trips online, taking advantage of the convenience, the ability to compare prices in real time, and immediate access to exclusive promotions. The pandemic acted as a catalyst for this change, and digital platforms are now widely adopted by travel agencies, airlines, hotels, and other players in the sector,” he said.

“Furthermore, consistent behavior patterns have been identified: for example, many users make purchases at night, between 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., when they have more time available,” he added.
