David Harbour relieved about Stranger Things ending

David Harbour is ready to say goodbye to the Netflix series Stranger Things. Speaking to actress Scarlett Johansson for Interview Magazine, Harbour agreed when asked if he was relieved about the series' end. The fifth and final season premieres on Netflix on September 26.
Harbour was very excited about his role during the first few seasons. "Friends of mine who had been on TV shows for years said, 'By season three or four, you'll want to get out of it.' And I said, 'Never! I love all these people so much,'" he told Johansson. Harbour plays police chief Jim Hopper in the fictional town of Hawkins, where the series is set.
Stranger Things premiered on Netflix in 2016. As the series progressed, the 50-year-old actor came to a point where he wondered how long it would last. "You have to keep hitting the same tone," Harbour said. He later added, "So yeah, after 10 years you're like, 'Okay, that's it.'"
It became harder for Harbour to take a different path. "Part of your psyche is consumed by this group of people and this story." Finally, the actor jokes, "I couldn't shave off this damn mustache."
