Freek de Jonge makes seventh election conference

Freek de Jonge is going back to the theatres with a new election conference. In the run-up to the Second Chamber elections at the end of October, the comedian is making a series of performances entitled De Stemming 7.
According to the 80-year-old De Jonge, the conference will be his "strictest ever". "Democracy is at stake", he states. De Jonge will perform in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Alkmaar and Haarlem, among other places.
Since 2003, De Jonge has made a conference for every Second Chamber election under the name De Stemming. Only in the previous elections he had to cancel due to illness.
