Pinkpop management sees 2025 as a top edition: we are on the right track

Tirsa Creusen and Ide Koffeman, the directors of Pinkpop, look back on a "top edition" of the festival. "For us, everything fell into place", the festival directors said in an interview with ANP. For the duo, 2025 was the first year as duo directors of Pinkpop.
The new festival directors made some minor adjustments this year. "At the request of the public, we brought back the Rondje Pinkpop. We also focused on more shade and seating areas." Creusen and Koffeman also walked a lot around the festival grounds together. "Then you look: what can be improved?", Koffeman explains. "It's quite a luxury to be able to brainstorm together. We also laughed a lot."
Regarding media reports of disappointing ticket sales, Creusen says: "There are a lot of tickets for Pinkpop, so it has never really been sold out. This weekend we had 130,000 visitors," she says. According to the festival management, "between 90,000 and 95,000 tickets were always sold for an average Pinkpop" in previous years, so there would be no question of disappointing ticket sales. Koffeman adds: "The audience is right, that is what counts for us. If you see how much they enjoyed it, then I think it proves that Pinkpop is on the right track."
Both Creusen and Koffeman were impressed by the show headliner Olivia Rodrigo gave on Saturday. "You saw all ages enjoying it immensely, the youngsters at the front, but you also saw the thirty- and forty-somethings looking like: Hey, what is this? And that's Pinkpop, live music for all ages," says Creusen. Rodrigo's performance confirms to Koffeman that Pinkpop is "on the right track." "In our view, we look back on a Pinkpop that is strong in content and has a future," he says.
Creusen and Koffeman also enjoyed the collaboration. "Tirsa is my new favorite colleague," says Koffeman with a laugh. The two are therefore already focusing on the 2026 edition. "We have used this year to discover the potential of the festival site," says Creusen. "We can still use many beautiful spots. We are going to see how we can unlock them more." Koffeman agrees with that plan. "If it goes well, the rest will follow automatically. As far as we are concerned, we will continue like this for another hundred years."
