Tax box 3 easily – and legally – avoidable

The treasury is at risk of losing a significant amount of money because savers and investors can easily "wipe away" their taxable income in box 3 using the rebuttal scheme. It's sufficient to buy bonds at the end of the year, the interest of which is paid the following year. The Ministry of Finance acknowledges this vulnerability but says it can't do anything about it.
