T ufTuf Amsterdam is the newest after-dinner hotspot in Amsterdam Centrum and brings exactly what we were missing: spontaneously walking in after dinner and ending up on the dance floor. Think: warm lighting, disco balls galore, cocktails with flair and a sound system that effortlessly takes you from drinks to banger.
The iconic spot where Disco Dolly used to be has now become an evening spot for thirty-somethings looking for atmosphere, soul and a danceable night – without the hassle of guest lists or overcrowded clubs. This is one of those new hotspots where you’ve been once and immediately know: this is going to be a favourite.
The menu mixes nostalgia with finesse. A familiar Baco? Yes, of course. But also a sharp margarita, an elegant grapefruit spritz and changing signatures in stylish glassware.
What should you try? Ask for the cocktail of the evening – every Friday and Saturday there is a new twist. And believe us: the timing is also right. Around ten o'clock it starts to liven up, the beats get funky and before you know it you are in the middle of this hidden gem in Amsterdam singing along to disco classics.

TufTuf is the latest concept from hospitality entrepreneur Steven Vermaas (you know him from Bar Bellini, Brasserie Lolita and Oliva), together with Diederik Hillis and Daan Erisman. Their idea? No mass club with strobes and fuss, but a nice place where atmosphere, music and spontaneity arise naturally. Only open on Friday and Saturday – and that is exactly why every evening feels special.
The interior? Low-threshold chic with a wink: velvet, vintage lamps, warm colours – and yes, two hundred disco balls on the ceiling. A big wink to the heyday of Disco Dolly, but for today's thirty-somethings.
