Officers from the criminal department of the Przeworsk police, who deal with combating drug crime on a daily basis, received information that drugs may be transported in an Audi belonging to a resident of the Przeworsk district. On Friday, May 9, after 5 p.m., on Sanowa Street in Jarosław, officers stopped the car for a road check. Behind the wheel was a 28-year-old resident of the Przeworsk district.

According to information provided by the Przeworsk police department, during the activities carried out, the police officers detected a characteristic smell. During the search, they found three packages of dried plant material and two containing a white, crystallized substance in the trunk of the vehicle.

The man's place of residence was also searched. There, officers secured two zip-lock bags with dried plant material and a white crystalline substance.

The man, who had previously been convicted of possession of narcotics, was charged with possession of a significant amount of them. The District Court in Przeworsk applied a preventive measure in the form of temporary arrest for a period of 3 months to the 28-year-old. He faces a sentence of up to 10 years in prison.
