3 million for the ruins of the castle in Sośnica! They are to become a tourist gem of the region

In the rooms of the currently neglected building, they would like to create a museum space, presenting the history and people associated with the Radymno commune. This will be complemented by a winery and their own vineyard. The Association for the Development of the Radymno Commune "Pro Patria" has such an idea for the remains of the Korniakt Castle in Sośnica. It has just become a beneficiary of a 3 million subsidy from the Governmental Program for the Reconstruction of Monuments. This opens the door to changes for the better for the originators!
We wrote about the idea for the ruins of the Korniakt Castle in Sośnica in November last year. This is a place that social activists associated in the Radymno Commune Development Association "Pro Patria", which leases this area from the commune, want to save from complete degradation. In order to make it a tourist attraction in the region, money is needed. And this has just appeared on the horizon. On May 5, an agreement was initialled at the Radymno Commune Office to grant a special purpose subsidy in the amount of PLN 3 million to co-finance conservation and restoration works in the facility entered in the register of monuments (by decision of December 1994). This money was granted as part of the Government Programme for the Reconstruction of Monuments, which the members of the association were counting on very much. Thanks to the funds obtained, the ruins of the Korniakt Castle in Sośnica are to gain a second life, and their historical and tourist value will be properly exposed. There is an idea that after the necessary renovation and construction works are completed, a museum section with a multimedia area with facilities and a winery for guests with a barrel storage room and a place for wine tasting will be created in the spaces of the facility. However, first the remains of the castle will have to be brought to a more or less satisfactory condition.
[middle1]The decision on the development conditions and land development, at the request of the Sośnica association, was issued by the Radymno commune in 2017. In October last year, a tender for the conservation and modernization of the castle ruins was announced. The contractor for the works has already been selected from two bidders, which will be a consortium of companies: Artbud sp. z oo from Jarosław (leader) in partnership with Budownictwo Finanse sp. z oo, also from Jarosław. Everything is therefore on the right track to the implementation of the plans. The total value of the investment is to amount to PLN 3 million 248 thousand 430. Since PLN 3 million is a subsidy, PLN 248 thousand 430 will be covered from its own budget by the Radymno commune, which supports the idea.
Museum, winery and wine-making spaceOn behalf of the Sośnica association, the agreement on granting a subsidy to the organization was signed by its president Bogdan Świder.
– The company that won the tender will prepare the necessary documentation and hold talks with the conservator, who will have to accept all the planned steps. As an association, we have already obtained certain consents, for example to cut down trees. At first, the most important thing will be to secure the facility and strengthen the ceilings. The entire investment, including the performance of conservation and modernization works, will be carried out in the design-build formula. We plan to create in the lower rooms: a museum, a winery and a space for weighing wine. At the top, a viewing terrace – he says about the plans.
Tourists and residents alike will be able to relax here, delve into local history and enjoy a glass of wine. The one about the castle in Sośnica is really interesting. It was one of the typical...
