A 40-year-old man was arrested in Budomierz. He was wanted for kidnapping a child.

On Monday, June 16, during the check of travellers entering Poland from Ukraine in Budomierz, Border Guard officers discovered that a 40-year-old Ukrainian citizen was of interest to the Danish justice system.
As reported by the spokesman for BiOSG, Border Guard Lieutenant Piotr Zakielarz, the local authorities issued a European Arrest Warrant and an Interpol Red Notice for him.
The foreigner was wanted for kidnapping a child and depriving him of his liberty. He did not resist during the execution of the action. By court decision, he was temporarily arrested for a period of 2 months. During this time, extradition proceedings will be conducted

Since the beginning of this year, officers of the Bieszczady Border Guard Branch have detained nearly 90 people wanted by Polish and foreign law enforcement agencies.
