A Ford driver under the influence. A witness reacted.

If not for the witness's quick reaction, this evening could have ended in tragedy. On Saturday, August 2nd, after 8 p.m., the officer on duty at the Trzebnica police station received a call from a concerned person traveling in the "old 5" toward Wrocław.

The reporting party observed the driver of the Ford in front of him having significant difficulty maintaining lane control. He suspected he was under the influence of alcohol.

A traffic patrol immediately dispatched to the designated area. Near Wisznia Mała, officers stopped the Ford for an inspection. Behind the wheel was a 37-year-old resident of our district, who, as it turned out, had more than a .000-per-mille blood alcohol content.

He was effectively prevented from driving any further. The car was handed over to the person he indicated, and his driver's license was confiscated. The man will not escape responsibility.
