Crash on a provincial road

Crash on a provincial road

A smashed lamppost, a damaged fence and a car in a ditch - this was the result of an incident on a provincial road in Pęgów. Firefighters provided first aid to people.

On May 18 at 11:34 a.m. the fire brigade was called to an accident in Pęgów.

- After the crews arrived at the scene, it was found that a Volkswagen Fox passenger car was in a roadside ditch on the left side of provincial road no. 342 towards Zajączkowo. The vehicle, with two people in it, hit a street lamp. Both people involved in the incident were outside the vehicle when the crews arrived, were conscious and had no visible external injuries, and did not complain of any ailments - informed Dariusz Zajączkowski, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Trzebnica.

As a result of the incident, the property fence was also damaged; however, it caused virtually no traffic disruptions - the car was in the ditch and was not blocking the road.

Rescuers provided first aid to the injured; after the ambulance arrived, the emergency medical team took over their care. After examining them, the medics determined that none of the people involved in the crash required transport to the hospital.

Firefighters disconnected the battery in the damaged vehicle, and the damaged street lamp was secured by the energy emergency service employees. The actions of 2 rescue and firefighting units lasted 1.5 hours.
