Increased border traffic. Be careful when traveling this holiday season.

When planning a trip, it's worth preparing properly, including by choosing a convenient border crossing point. During the first week of the summer holidays, officers from the Bieszczady Border Guard Branch in Przemyśl processed an average of over 41,000 travelers per day. This totaled over 292,000 travelers. Over 35,000 passenger cars, 8,000 trucks, and 1,800 coaches were processed. The increased holiday traffic is particularly noticeable in coaches. At individual border crossings, the following numbers of coaches were processed: Medyka – 771, Korczowa – 725, Budomierz – 266, Krościenko – 67, and Malhowice – 43.

– The Border Guard in the Podkarpacie region is prepared for the increased holiday traffic. The forces and resources are adequate to the traffic at the border to ensure efficient and safe border crossings, especially for children and young people. Most often, in the case of buses transporting children, checks are conducted out of turn.

– When choosing a border crossing, it's worth using border crossings with less traffic, such as the border crossing in Malhowice, opened just over six months ago, where traffic is currently the lowest. The border crossing in Malhowice is located approximately 10 kilometers from Przemyśl. Estimated waiting times for crossing the border, for those leaving Poland, are available on the website granica.gov...
