Karol Nawrocki won in Przemyśl by 600 votes. In our region he dominated Rafał Trzaskowski. On June 1 this year the second round

On May 18, 2025, we were to meet the seventh president of the Third Republic of Poland. Thirteen candidates competed for a place in the Presidential Palace. Traditionally, the two who represented the political parties that have been ruling Poland alternately for years had the greatest chances in the polls - Rafał Trzaskowski from the Civic Coalition and Karol Nawrocki, supported by Law and Justice. Sławomir Mentzen from the Confederation "Freedom and Independence" had a dream of confusing the ranks of these two. Tradition was fulfilled. The aforementioned two dominated the voting. Both candidates collected almost 12 million votes, or over 60 percent. S. Mentzen fulfilled his dream, taking 3rd place with almost three million votes. According to politicians and people involved in commenting on the results, the result of the ultra-right Grzegorz Braun (Confederation of the Polish Crown) was a positive surprise, with over 1.2 million people voting for him.
Neither R. Trzaskowski nor K. Nawrocki gathered enough support to triumph in the first round. Therefore, on Children's Day, June 1, a second round will be held, which will decide who will be the new president of the Republic of Poland in the years 2025-2030.
Exactly 29 million 252 thousand 340 people were eligible to vote. 19 million 689 thousand 597 Polish women and men decided to go to the polls. This gave a turnout of 67.31 percent. This is slightly less than in the presidential elections in 2020, when the turnout was 68.18 percent. The Civic Coalition candidate dominated the west of the country. He won in all of the largest cities in Poland. K. Nawrocki took second place everywhere. S. Mentzen closed the podium in most of the largest Polish cities, but in Poznań he was overtaken by Adrian Zandberg (the "Razem" party).
R. Trzaskowski won the most votes in the following voivodeships: Lubuskie (40.49 percent), Zachodniopomorskie (40.31 percent) and Pomorskie (38.05 percent), and the least in the following voivodeships: Podkarpackie (17.9 percent), Lubelskie (20.65 percent), Podlaskie (23.31 percent). A total of 6 million 147 thousand 797 voters voted for him. K. Nawrocki won the most votes in the following voivodeships: Podkarpackie (42.77 percent), Świętokrzyskie (39.94 percent) and Lubelskie (39.02 percent), and he recorded the least support in the following voivodeships: Pomorskie (22.19 percent), Lubuskie (23.25 percent) and Zachodniopomorskie (24.29 percent). A total of 5 million 790 thousand 804 voters voted for him.

It was no different on May 18 this year, during the first round of the presidential elections. Karol Nawrocki lost to Rafał Trzaskowski in: Rzeszów, Tarnobrzeg, the commune of Cisna (Lesko district) and the commune of Komańcza (Sanok district). Considering the 1,941 voting districts in the province, this is a drop in the ocean......
