Let the walls of the POSiR hall tremble to their foundations! Texom Eurobus Przemyśl sets off for glory

Can anyone imagine the semi-final of the play-off phase without Rekord Bielsko-Biała? The current Polish champion, participant of the Futsal Champions League, winner of two trophies this season (Polish Super Cup and Polish Cup). Certainly not. But it doesn't matter. What is important is that Texom Eurobus Przemyśl imagines it! Team Adriano Ribeiro is not the favorite... But together with its fans, it can create spectacles that will be remembered for a long time by all of futsal Poland. Spectacles during which the walls of the POSiR hall will shake to their foundations. Together, they can achieve the impossible. Do it!

Almost 30 years. That's how long it's been since basketball players from the now defunct section in Polonia Przemyśl won the bronze medal at the Polish Championships. That's how long fans on the San have been waiting for the moment when they will once again be able to feel the thrill of their favorites competing for the highest goals in Polish sports. When will a team from a city that's over a thousand years old have any chance of doing so...

They were born from the passion and love of one man for sport. He was the one who dreamed of a team that was to take over the hearts of Przemyśl fans. Mariusz Franków. Hearts that broke when Przemyśl basketball died twice, handball players were relegated from the top league twice. They broke when football completely fell. Hearts that became (and still are) distrustful because of these tragedies, not fully believing that something great will happen in Przemyśl.

In four years, Przemyśl futsal players have advanced to the highest league in Poland. In a discipline that grows stronger year by year, that will probably never beat the ball kicked on green grass, but with each month it attracts more and more fans. The maiden season was an experiment for Eurobus. One for getting to know the realities, for adjusting organizationally. The goal was to stay up, and they did it under the baton of Adriano Ribeiro.

Just before the start of the second season, we wrote, among other things, "If the coaching staff, who are already working very intensively with the team, manage to combine solidity with effectiveness, if they manage to synchronize all the elements of this puzzle, if such experienced players understand each other on the court with their eyes closed, a fustal "monster" may be born on the Polish scene. Of course, in the positive sense of the word. A "monster" that may cause a great surprise at the end of the upcoming season."

They have already achieved a lot. They have played 30 matches, in which they have scored as many as 70 points! They have won 22 matches, drawn 4 and lost 4. They have scored 124 goals, conceding 62. They have stormed into the top of the FOGO Futsal Ekstraklasa. Interestingly, they have lost only one match away from home, against Piast Futsal in Gliwice. They have suffered three defeats in home matches, against: BSF ABJ Bochnia, Rekord Bielsko-Biała and Contract Lubawa. Although they were forced to play the last two matches as hosts, they did so on courts they were not entirely familiar with, in Arłamów and SP 14. At the end of the regular season, they took 4th place, securing promotion to the play-offs many rounds earlier.

There are eight teams left on the battlefield. More than half of them dream of a Polish Championship medal. There will be no more calculations, no room for even the smallest mistake. A mistake that can ruin many months of work. Despite such an excellent attitude, fate did not treat them kindly. It set a task that theoretically seems insurmountable. The Bielsko-Biała record. The club-legend of Polish futsal. The club most distinguished in Polish futsal. The team that is the current Polish champion, participant of the Elite Round of the Futsal Champions League (in which it tied 3:3 with the winner of this competition Illes Balears Futsal Palma), winner of two trophies this season - the Polish Super Cup and the Polish Cup. No greater recommendation is needed.

There are no major rational grounds to state that Rekord Bielsko-Biała will not be in the semi-finals of the play-off phase. But what is the faith and hope for causing a sensation, the likes of which have not been in FOGO Futsal Ekstraklasa for years?

There is no more electrifying duel in the first round of the play-off phase. There is no greater chance to shake the current hierarchy at the top of Polish futsal. There is no better opportunity to thank them for eight months of great emotions.

Tomorrow, on May 7th, the first meeting of this pair will take place. At 5:45 p.m. in Bielsko-Biała. In the hall at Startowa Street 13. The same one where on December 4th, 2024, Texom Eurobus already achieved the impossible. He defeated Rekord 5:4. Of course, nothing happens twice, but... No one will stop them from dreaming! No one will stop them from repeating this great triumph!

On Saturday, May 10, this pair will face off again. In the POSiR hall at Mickiewicza Street 30. Let the hall be filled to the brim with fans. Let its walls shake to their foundations! Let the Polish champion feel the power of the Przemyśl futsal cauldron! They will need you, the fans. Be the sixth player of Texom Eurobus! If there is no result that day (the game is played to two won matches), on Sunday, May 11, the decisive clash will also take place in the POSiR hall.

It won't be an unpleasant surprise if they don't manage to think it through. Because that won't be the end of this fairy tale... It's just the beginning of the march to glory and sporting immortality.
