Netanyahu to Fox News: Our actions could lead to the overthrow of the regime in Iran

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in an interview with American television Fox News on Sunday that a possible consequence of Israeli actions against Iran could be "regime change" in Tehran.
Netanyahu said the regime in Iran was “very weak” and said its overthrow was in the hands of the Iranians.
The prime minister also reported that American pilots were shooting down drones fired at Israel by Iran. He assured that the Israeli government would do everything necessary to eliminate the "existential threat" to the country, namely the nuclear threat and the threat of ballistic missiles being used against it.
Fox News reported on Sunday, citing a US official, that US President Donald Trump recently opposed the Israeli plan to kill Iran's spiritual and political leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Netanyahu commented on the reports in an interview with the station on Sunday.
“There is so much misinformation out there about talks that never took place, and I am not going to get into that,” the prime minister said.
He declared that Israel “is doing and will do what it has to do.” “And I think the US knows what is good for the US,” he added. He noted that he had informed Trump in advance about the planned operation against Iran.
Fox News reported that this was the Israeli prime minister's first interview since Israel launched its operation against Iran's nuclear program on Friday morning.
