PiS has a plan to weaken the coalition. "They're lost like children in the fog."

PiS has a plan to weaken the coalition. "They're lost like children in the fog."

During Wednesday's vote in the Sejm on the Left's draft bill on social housing, some opposition motions and the Poland 2050 amendment passed. In connection with the announced government reshuffle, there is an ongoing dispute over who should be responsible for housing-related issues. The Left wanted a new ministry headed by Tomasz Lewandowski. However, Szymon Hołownia's party has a vested interest in this area, Onet reports.

Minister of Funds and Regional Policy Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz notes that the government needs to be reduced, not created. The Civic Coalition MP is angry that the vote results are "fuel for the opposition." The Law and Justice party (PiS) denies having reached an agreement with Poland 2050 and appeals to "stop inventing conspiracy theories." "Hołownia no longer wants to be treated as an object by Tusk and is starting to defy him. Better late than never," the Law and Justice politician said. The words about an "alliance" are exaggerated.

PiS on its plan to weaken the coalition. "It's hard to miss the opportunity and the ball presented by the government."

On Wednesday, a motion to approve the draft National Health Fund budget for 2026 was rejected because three Civic Coalition (KO) MPs were not present. On Thursday, the Public Finance Committee adjourned because there were not enough MPs present to vote on the discharge. "It's clear they're lost like children in a fog. They demonstrated their incompetence in the Health Committee," commented one PiS MP. Another PiS politician admitted that "it's hard not to take advantage of the opportunity and the ball presented by the government."

"The calendar is shaping up well for us, as we still have a government reshuffle ahead of us, followed by Karol Nawrocki's inauguration as president, when we can once again boast of success," the Law and Justice party (PiS) is heard saying. In the near future, PiS will be reminding us of the government's unfulfilled promises and creating a narrative of fighting for positions, rather than passing legislation. The opportunity for attack is the government reshuffle, which is supposed to be more cosmetic than grand.

The ruling coalition is losing support in the polls, and PiS wants to strike back. "We could actually do nothing."

"We could actually do nothing, sit back with popcorn and smile, but when the government's support in the polls is falling, we can show our agency. Many have already given up on us, saying we'd fall out and fall apart, but we have several initiatives planned to fuel our fire," the PiS politician revealed. It's about migration. Signatures are being collected for a referendum to recall the mayor of Piotrków Trybunalski and the alleged establishment of a Foreigner Integration Center in the city.
