Someone broke the window at the Trafostacja station

Tonight, unknown perpetrators destroyed the entrance door to the Art Trafostacja in Szczecin. Szczecin police are investigating the matter.

The attack may have been carried out for nationalist reasons, as suggested by Anna Konopka of Trafostacja Sztuki. Behind the door was a rainbow flag and symbols representing TRAFO's values ​​as an open and tolerant institution.

The incident occurred on the night of July 10-11. The perpetrators were two masked men – they can be clearly seen in the surveillance footage.

"It was an attempted burglary. It was reported by a security guard at the Trafostacja station, who saw a man trying to get in," reports Chief Superintendent Anna Gembala of the Szczecin Municipal Police Headquarters. "The police will secure the monitoring, and the Szczecin-Śródmieście Police Station is contacting the institution's management."

It's worth noting that photos of the broken window were posted on a group of border defenders called "We Keep Guard on the Oder." "Someone brightened my mood this morning," the author of the post wrote, expressing approval of the vandalism. Other users echoed this sentiment, calling the Trafostacja a "den," among other things.
