Referendum on changing the name of the village. The residents decided

In Kałowice, the village meeting ended, during which a referendum was held on changing the name of the town. The vote was secret. How did the residents vote?

During the previous preliminary consultation and election meeting, which was attended by almost 50 people, 15 residents were in favor of keeping the old name. 35 people were in favor of changing it. It seemed that the vast majority would vote for the proposed new name - Przylesie.

After removing the ballots from the ballot box and counting them, the counting committee found that there were 68 residents entitled to vote at the meeting, who were issued ballot cards. 68 ballots were removed from the ballot box - 1 vote was invalid, 67 valid.

32 votes were cast in favor of changing the name of the village from Kałowice to Przylesie. Given this result, the commission announced that changing the name of the village from Kałowice to Przylesie had been assessed negatively, which means that the name of the village will not be changed.
