The Middle East is still burning. Israel strikes nuclear facilities again; explosions in Tehran

Israeli forces have attacked nuclear facilities in Isfahan in central Iran, as well as ballistic missile launchers and the country's air defense systems, totaling 80 sites, Israeli military sources said on Sunday.
Reporting on Platform X about the attack on the facility in Isfahan, the spokesman for the Israeli army did not specify when it took place.
An Israeli military official later said two Iranian fuel facilities "for dual use, supporting the military and nuclear program" were attacked Saturday night.
On Saturday, Israeli military sources said Iranian nuclear facilities in Isfahan and Natanz in the central part of the country were badly damaged in Israeli strikes, and nine Iranian nuclear scientists were killed.
The International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed that the Israeli military damaged four "critically important buildings" at the Isfahan nuclear facility, including a uranium processing plant, in an attack on Friday.
The IDF also said several ballistic missile launchers, as well as air defense systems and radars, were attacked in Iran overnight from Saturday to Sunday. The military said some of the launchers hit had previously been used in strikes against Israel.
The Israeli military said it will continue to search for and attack ballistic missile sites in western Iran.
An Israeli military official said Israel has a long list of targets it intends to neutralize in Iran. He declined to say how long the attacks would continue.
He added that the target of the Israeli attack, carried out on the night from Saturday to Sunday, was also the chief of the general staff of the Yemeni Houthi rebels, Mohammad al-Ghamari. (PAP)

Air defenses have been activated in the Iranian capital, Tehran, as attempts are underway to intercept incoming Israeli missiles, Reuters reported on Sunday. An AFP correspondent at the scene reported new explosions in the city.
Air defense systems were activated in western and northwestern Tehran, Iranian media reported. Media also broadcast footage showing columns of smoke in the capital's eastern districts.
The Israeli military said Sunday it “continues to have a long list of targets in Iran,” adding that 80 targets were hit in the country last night, including fuel depots used for military purposes and nuclear development.
Iranian government spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani urged the country's citizens to seek shelter in mosques, schools and metro stations, which will be open 24 hours a day. "We have no problems with food, medicine and fuel supplies," she assured.

The refinery itself was not affected by the attacks, and continues to operate despite some transmission operations being suspended. No workers were injured.
The company added that it was analyzing the impact of the damage on its operations and financial results.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi on Sunday accused the UN Security Council of “indifference” to Israel’s attacks on his country, saying so at a meeting with foreign diplomats broadcast on state television.
Aragchi said Israel's attack was "received with indifference by the UN Security Council" and that Western governments "condemned Iran instead of Israel, even though it is the aggressor."
The minister stressed that Iran does not want the conflict with Israel to spread to neighboring countries unless the situation forces it. According to him, Iran's reaction was an act of self-defense.
Aragchi stressed that Iran is responding to foreign aggression, but when it ends, Iran will also stop responding.
He said Israeli attacks on offshore gas fields in the Persian Gulf, which Iran shares with Qatar, constituted "brutal aggression and a very dangerous step."
"Expanding the conflict to the Persian Gulf is a strategic mistake and its aim is to move the war beyond Iranian territory," the Iranian foreign minister said.
He also accused Israel of trying to sabotage U.S.-Iranian talks on Tehran's nuclear program. Iran was supposed to prepare proposals for the next round of talks, scheduled for Sunday, but they were canceled after the conflict escalated.
Aragchi expressed his conviction that "the Israeli attack would never have happened without the green light of the US and its support."
He added that Iran does not believe American assurances that Washington was not involved in the current Israeli attacks. "If the United States wants to prove its goodwill, it must condemn Israeli attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities," the minister said.
Israel launched a massive airstrike against Iran early Friday, saying it was targeting its nuclear and military facilities. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that day that Iran had enough enriched uranium to build nine atomic bombs. Iran called the attack a “declaration of war” and responded by sending drones and ballistic missiles toward Israel.
Israel has attacked uranium enrichment plants, military targets, fuel storage facilities, gas fields, and airports, among other targets. The attacks have also killed Iranian military commanders and scientists involved in developing the nuclear program.
Sunday is the third day of mutual Israeli-Iranian shelling. Since Friday, at least 13 people have been killed in Israel, and – according to media – at least 140-150 in Iran. (PAP)

Foreign Minister Iran Abbas Aragczi accused the UN Security Council on Sunday of "indifference" against Israel's attacks on his country. He said about this at a meeting with foreign diplomats, broadcast on state television.
Aragczi stated that Israel's attack was "adopted with indifference by the UN Security Council" and the rule of Western countries "condemned Iran instead of Israel, although he is the aggressor."
The minister emphasized that Iran does not want the conflict with Israel to expand to neighboring countries, unless it forces the situation. According to him, the reaction of Iran was in self -defense.
Aragczi noted that Iran responds to foreign aggression, but when she ends, Iran will also stop reacting.
According to him, Israeli attacks on coastal gas deposits in the Persian Gulf, which Iran share with Qatar, constituted "brutal aggression and a very dangerous step."
"The expansion (range) of the conflict to the Persian Gulf is a strategic mistake, and its purpose is to transfer the war outside Iranian territory," said the head of Iranian diplomacy.
He also accused Israel of sabotaging American-Iranian conversations about Tehran's nuclear program. Iran was to prepare proposals for the next round of these conversations, planned for Sunday, but after the escalation of the conflict they were canceled.
Aragczi expressed the belief that "an Israeli attack would never have happened without the green light of the US and their support."
He added that Iran does not believe in American assurances that Washington did not participate in current Israeli attacks. "If the United States want to prove their good will, they must condemn Israeli attacks on Iranian nuclear objects," said the minister.
Israel started on Friday morning massive strokes on Iran, claiming that their goal is nuclear and military facilities. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that day that Iran has enough enriched uranium to build nine atomic bombs. Iran called the attack "declaration of war" and responded by sending drones and ballistic missiles towards Israel.
Israel shelled, among others Uranium enrichment plants, military goals, fuel magazines, gas fields and airports. The commanders of the Iranian armed forces and scientists involved in the development of the nuclear program also died in the attacks.
Sunday is the third day of mutual Israeli-Iranian fire. At least 13 people in Israel have been killed since Friday, and-according to the media-at least 140-150 in Iran. (PAP)

He also accused Israel of sabotaging American-Iranian conversations about Tehran's nuclear program. Iran was to prepare proposals for the next round of these conversations, planned for Sunday, but after the escalation of the conflict they were canceled.
