This poll is a wake-up call for Donald Tusk. The results leave no illusions

In the latest poll conducted for Radio Zet by the Institute for Market and Social Research, Poles were asked whether they trust Prime Minister Donald Tusk. 8.1% of respondents “definitely” trust the head of the Polish government, while 21.8% “rather do.” In total, this is 29.9% of positive responses.

A total of 57.3% of respondents hold the opposite opinion, including 42.6% who “definitely” do not trust Donald Tusk, and 14.7% who “rather do not”. 12.8% are unable to answer this question.

The survey also verified how the trust indicator looks depending on the political views of the respondents. In the case of respondents who declare themselves as supporters of the ruling camp, a total of 68% - regardless of the level of trust - trust the prime minister, while 15% do not. 18% have no opinion.

Opposition voters, on the other hand, are split in a completely different way. Among them, 10% trust Tusk, while 87% do not trust the politician. 3% have no opinion.

The nationwide survey, carried out by IBRiS on behalf of Radio ZET using the telephone method of standardized computer-assisted interviews (CATI) on a representative sample of 1,067 people, was conducted on 27-28 June 2025.
Who after Tusk? Poles have indicated possible successors

In a survey conducted for “Wprost” by SW Research, we asked Poles the following question : “If Donald Tusk were to resign as prime minister, who should replace him and head the government?” 20.4% of respondents indicated the current Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski as Donald Tusk’s successor, while 16.6% believe that the mayor of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski, would be a good choice for this role. The leader of the Polish People’s Party, deputy prime minister and head of the Ministry of National Defense, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, came in third (8.8%).

As many as 25.3% of respondents believe that someone else should lead the government. 18.8% of respondents have no opinion on the matter.
