Wilanów about Trzaskowski. "I hope he doesn't get depressed"

Wilanów about Trzaskowski. "I hope he doesn't get depressed"

Mr. Piotr also hopes that the would-be president of Poland will not leave the capital. "I hope he will not get into some kind of trouble and will not think of resigning," he says.

I can tell Mr. Rafał with all my sympathy that he should not give up. He is a statesman. He is a fantastic man. As a politician, he still needs to think about his campaign a little bit, improve what needs to be improved. He is a young man, a young man. Everything is still ahead of him.

— adds Mrs. Agata.

Could the campaign have looked better? According to the residents of Wilanów, it could have. According to Ms. Danuta, the coalition candidate's performances were shallow.

— His statements were so shallow, monotonous. He should have said more about what the government had been doing so far. People didn't learn about that. He didn't emphasize enough the issues that were necessary for Poles — says Ms. Danuta.

Ms. Agata is also not satisfied with the campaign, but in her opinion the blame does not lie with the candidate himself.

— I am disappointed with Mr. Rafał's campaign, because it seems to me that it could have been much better. The current government camp has neglected certain matters a bit — she comments.

Trzaskowski stays in the City Hall. Wilanów residents talk about expectations

We asked the residents of Wilanów what the mayor of Warsaw should focus on after losing the election for president of the Republic of Poland.

— During the time he was gone, Warsaw was neglected — admits Ms. Danuta.

He also adds that he drives through Śródmieście every day and sees how the district is falling apart. Others talk about transport, parking spaces, but also renovations.

- Mr. Rafał, a little more order in Warsaw. So renovations, yes, it's fantastic that Warsaw as the capital has a chance and is developing, because you can see it, but it needs to be dealt with faster. Renovations, the general chaos, chaos, it's just taking too long. This is such a priority issue - appeals Mrs. Agata.

However, our interlocutors unanimously say that they would not like Rafał Trzaskowski to leave the City Hall and abandon Warsaw.

Trzaskowski is a very good president for me, even though I'm not from Warsaw, but what I see during this time, I'm really impressed

— sums up Mrs. Halina.

Trzaskowski posted a recording in which he assured that he is not going anywhere

"I continue my mission as mayor of Warsaw and I will do everything in my power to make the most of this term to build an increasingly better city. A city for everyone," he announced.

Rafał Trzaskowski's term ends in 2029. After it ends, he will no longer be able to run for a third term. The new local government law does not allow this.
