The Club of Wonder Women: Emigrant Stories in the Herstory Movement

The Port Szczecin Association, the Club of Miracle Women from Berlin and several other organizations invite you to a bilingual meeting with the authors of the book "Lepiej. Opowieści emigrantek". During the meeting, the authors will read excerpts from their book.
The Club of Miracle Women is a group of seven Polish women living in Berlin and creating in the herstory genre. It consists of: Agata Czarkowska, Natalia Raginia, Barbara Borowska, Joanna Kańdulska, Magdalena Deniz, Agnieszka Karaś, and Beata Zuzanna Borawska, who also leads the entire group literary and organizationally (she is the only one still living permanently in Szczecin).
During the event, in Polish and German, translated by Dr. Agata Jagna Czarkowska, the authors will read fragments of the texts that are part of the anthology. This will be the Polish premiere of the book, the German premiere took place on May 17 in Berlin (in the BuchIBund bookstore).
Over a cup of coffee or tea, in a creative atmosphere, lively discussions are something to look forward to. On this day, we will discuss topics such as: Polish women's emigration, which seems to have been completely ignored recently. All threads will be intertwined by the meeting's hosts: Beata Zuzanna Borawska in Polish, Agata Jagna Czarkowska in German.
The meeting will take place at the "Między wierszami" bookstore in Szczecin on June 21 at 2:00 p.m.
