Changes in the energy market. A giant with a new offer

- Tauron has presented a new, simplified electricity invoice, which is to be delivered to 6 million of the group’s customers.
- Another novelty is the "Cheap Hours" offer, which can allow for savings on energy purchases of almost 20 percent. This is almost half a year with cheaper energy than the frozen price and the first multi-zone offer based on renewable energy sources in Poland.
- More than 200,000 Tauron customers are already using green energy. The group boasted about the data during the New Energy Day, complementing its offer, the main goal of which is to reduce energy prices.
- The greatest value of the Tauron group is our 6 million customers. We take their opinion into account, we respond to their needs. We want them to be an impulse for our further development and to participate with us in the energy transformation - both technological and mental. We present two solutions that we have been working on intensively in recent months - says Piotr Gołębiowski, Vice President of Trade at Tauron Polska Energia.

The first is a new, simplified invoice - the most important element of settlement. The second solution is a completely new product, from the line aimed at the most active customers - "Cheap Hours".
- "Cheap Hours" is almost half a year with the cheapest energy. At the same time, it is an ECO product, with a guarantee of origin from renewable sources. We are convinced that "Cheap Hours" will change the approach to conscious use of energy. We enable our customers to use energy from renewable sources when it is the cheapest. This is extremely important, because we have just exceeded the number of 200,000 Tauron customers who use green energy. This is very good news for the market and a great prognosis for the future - adds Piotr Gołębiowski.
Since the beginning of 2025, more than 2.3 million households have already received their electricity invoice with a clear summary of the most important information.
Now Tauron has presented a completely new, simplified invoice design, which will be available to customers later this year.
New clear and legible invoice invoice- In the first studies we conducted, customers assess the new invoice as legible, understandable and simpler. The document will enable quick and intuitive familiarization with the most important information regarding settlements. This is the result of many months of intensive research and design work conducted by our experts in cooperation with customers. We want the experience related to customer service to bring positive impressions. We believe that this is an important step towards building even better relationships with our customers - says Michał Mierzwa, Vice President of Tauron Customer Service.
The new invoice appearance was designed in accordance with statutory requirements, but also with the active participation of Tauron customers.
The new version of the document highlights more clearly the amount to be paid, the billing period, detailed energy consumption and the payment schedule. These are the needs indicated by customers participating in the research.
During the research, clients assessed, among other things, the attractiveness of the presentation of key data and indicated areas requiring changes. Thanks to their opinions, it was possible to create a document that better meets the real needs of recipients. All clients who receive the new, simplified invoice can share their opinion on the document via the company's website.
"Cheap Hours" for active customers are startingSimpler invoices will help you take advantage of the cheapest hours of electricity. This is possible thanks to "Cheap Hours", as Tauron assures - the first such, multi-zone offer on the Polish market.
As early as July 2025, Tauron will enable customers to use electricity when it is cheapest – and safely, at a pre-defined price. Additionally, this energy will come from renewable sources. To use the solution, simply adjust the time of use of energy-intensive devices to the "Cheap Hours" schedule.
- We want households to gain real influence on the amount of their energy bills by adjusting its consumption to hourly electricity rates. This is also a response to demanding dynamic tariffs. The new offer, although linked to the energy exchange price, ensures security thanks to pre-defined rates. This allows for optimal use of "Cheap Hours" during each day and throughout the year. The savings potential is significant, because customers can use over 4 thousand hours when electricity is cheaper than the frozen price. This corresponds to over 160 days of the cheapest energy. In practice, this means that a household can reduce its annual energy costs by even over 20 percent - assures Mariusz Purat, president of Tauron Sprzedaż.
In the new offer, households can take advantage of up to 24 electricity price zones per day. This is an attractive alternative to dynamic tariffs.
The new "Cheap Hours" offer refers to electricity prices listed on the energy exchange, but in its case the customer learns all the electricity rates before signing the contract and is certain that they will not change during the period of validity of the price list.
