Important agreement between Gaz System and UDT

The cooperation to date has been based on an agreement concluded in 2014. Since then, Poland's transmission infrastructure has been significantly developed, with the implementation of modern technologies and equipment requiring a more advanced approach to system security and maintenance.
The new document aims to adapt the principles of cooperation to these challenges and ensure the continuity and reliability of gas transmission.
"Employee safety and the efficient operation of the transmission system in accordance with applicable technical standards are our priority. For years, employees of the Office of Technical Inspection have supported Gaz System with their knowledge and experience in the operation of our infrastructure. By signing this document, we confirm our willingness to continue this important cooperation for the company," said Sławomir Hinc, CEO of Gaz System.
"One of the goals of the Office of Technical Inspection is to provide support for the entire energy sector, including conventional energy, renewable energy sources, and nuclear power. Therefore, we are pleased to be developing our cooperation with Gaz System, particularly in such a key area for energy security as gas transmission pipelines and critical infrastructure. Our joint efforts will undoubtedly contribute to even more effective protection in this area and build a solid foundation for the further development of both entities' competencies," said Paweł Urbańczyk, President of the Office of Technical Inspection.
Gaz System is responsible for the transmission of natural gas, managing the most important gas pipelines in Poland and the Baltic Pipe offshore pipeline. It owns and operates the LNG terminal in Świnoujście, and also owns Gas Storage Poland, a company that operates natural gas storage facilities.
Gaz System is currently building a floating gas terminal (FSRU) in the Gulf of Gdańsk, which aims to ensure diversification, stability and security of gas supplies.
