The fight for NIK begins. Who will replace Marian Banaś?

Who will replace Marian Banaś as the head of the Supreme Audit Office? According to the findings of "Rzeczpospolita", the favourite to take over this position is the current head of the Standing Committee of the Council of Ministers, Maciej Berek - writes Monday's "Rz".
"After the presidential election and the vote of confidence in the government, the next stage of the reconstruction of Donald Tusk's cabinet is beginning. A government spokesman will soon be appointed and the cabinet is to be reconstructed and reformed. As for the spokesman, the current leader of Nowoczesna and Minister of European Affairs Adam Szłapka is the favourite, although our government sources warn that the final decision in this matter has not yet been made," reports Monday's "Rzeczpospolita".
The newspaper reminds us that on top of all this there is also the question of filling the position of the head of the Supreme Audit Office. According to "Rz", this may turn out to be the most difficult coalition puzzle.
"From the talks with +Rzeczpospolita+ it appears that the current favourite to take over the position of the head of NIK is Maciej Berek - currently one of the most influential figures in the government, a close associate of the prime minister and head of the Standing Committee of the Council of Ministers," the daily reports.
