Trump spoke to Putin about the situation in the Middle East

US President Donald Trump spoke with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, a White House official said Saturday, as quoted by Reuters. Earlier, the Kremlin had notified the leaders of the telephone conversation.
The White House has not yet issued an official statement following the conversation between President Trump, who turns 79 on Saturday, and Putin.
Kremlin adviser Yuri Ushakov said the leaders spoke by phone about the armed conflict between Iran and Israel. Putin was said to have condemned Israel's attack on Iran. Both presidents did not rule out a return to talks on Iran's nuclear program.
The Russian leader was also expected to confirm his readiness to continue negotiations with Ukraine.
According to Ushakov, the conversation lasted about 50 minutes.
Previously, it was reported that the leaders of the US and Russia had spoken on June 4. At that time, Trump said that Putin had told him that he would "have to respond" to the Ukrainian attack on military airports in Russia, where - according to the authorities in Kiev - 41 aircraft were destroyed or damaged.
