800 plus from June 1, 2025. Important changes

As of June 1, new rules for 800 plus payments are in force. These changes mean restrictions on payments for families from Ukraine . They will be able to receive the 800 plus family benefit and the Good Start benefit, but only if the children attend a Polish school.

However, there is one exception to this rule: in the 2024/2025 school year, students studying in the highest grade in a school operating in the Ukrainian education system will not be required to attend Polish schools . They can complete their education online.

800 plus. Applications after June 1. What does that mean?

The new "Family 800 plus" benefit period runs from June 1, 2025 to May 31, 2026.

The Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy emphasizes that submitting an application by 30 April of a given year meant that the benefit granted (for June) would be granted and paid out no later than 30 June of that year.

However, in the case of applications submitted between 1 and 31 May of a given year , the determination of entitlement and payment of the benefit granted for June and July will take place no later than 31 July of that year.

If a person applying for the child benefit submits an application between 1 and 30 June of a given year , the determination and payment of the benefit granted for June, July and August will take place no later than 31 August of that year.

Important: If a person submits an application at a later date, i.e. after 30 June, the right to the child benefit will be established and the benefit will be paid from the month of submission of the application.

Therefore , only submitting an application by the end of June guarantees that the child benefit will be paid for the entire benefit period from 1 June to 31 May of the following year .
