The lowest salaries in public healthcare are to increase from July 1, 2025. The increases will also apply to support staff - orderlies, paramedics. After indexation, the minimum salary in this professional group will be PLN 5,318 gross per month. The rates result from the act and depend on the average salary announced by the Central Statistical Office. On June 5, Minister Izabela Leszczyna suggested a possible postponement of the date of increases, which in practice would mean their temporary freezing.

When will the money for medical pay rises be available? The National Health Fund assures that there will be no delays. The amount is still unknown.

Currently, the minimum salary for an employee of basic activity without medical education is PLN 4,651.06 gross per month . According to the act, from July 1, 2025, it should increase to PLN 5,318.12 - PLN 667.06 more. This applies, among others, to orderlies and paramedics employed in public health care.

The indexation of wages in this sector results from the product of the labour coefficient and the average salary announced by the Central Statistical Office – in 2024 it was PLN 8,181.72.

However, on June 5, Health Minister Izabela Leszczyna announced a possible postponement of the increase date in an interview with Polsat News : – I will talk to the tripartite team so that we can change the regulation that was invented by someone who has no idea about public finances.

This would mean a six-month freeze on the growth of the lowest wages in healthcare, including for support staff. However, it is not known whether this will happen.

Since June, it has been attacking in swarms all over Poland. It sheds its wings and burrows deeply into the skin.
